Landscape photography

Joelle’s landscape photography work revolves around minimalist scenes and astrophotography, two themes rooted in patience and solitude. Under a starry sky, where time slows and the self fades, she gets to be reminded that we are both infinitely small and deeply connected to something greater.

Minimalism, for her, is a response to the overwhelming noise of the world. In an era of constant overstimulation, she finds herself drawn to landscapes where silence and space dominate—scenes stripped down to their elemental forms. It’s an exercise in seeing more by showing less and a discipline of precision—where a lone tree, a small silhouette or a sliver of moonlight must carry entire narratives. To simplify is not to subtract beauty, but to amplify it through intentional focus, revealing what is often unseen.

“Joelle’s journey as a landscape photographer started with a desire to reconnect with both herself and nature. Astrophotography began as a personal ritual, a therapeutic exploration that had a deep impact on her personal growth. Capturing scenes in remote locations that are challenging to reach, her work invites viewers to step into a dreamlike state.

Through her lens, she aims to share the profound beauty of these moments in solitude where time stands still, offering a unique perspective that encourages contemplation and a deeper connection with the universe and the earth.”
